Fred wakes up in a world he thinks he knows, but he doesn't. His memories are clouded and incomplete; he barely remembers the full story of where his powers come from. What he does know: he levels up by absorbing souls, including human souls, growing stronger with every kill. He burns through stamina completely before his body forces him to stop, then recovers it and keeps fighting. He doesn't know if he can die, and he has no intention of testing it. He calls himself the Undead, the Lord of Cinder, armed with a mace and a shield recovered from dead adventurers, trying to survive in Orario without fully understanding his own abilities. His goddess, Hestia, can see the "soul" of any weapon, item, or miracle he shows her- its attributes, requirements, and abilities- and writes it all down for him, since he can't see any of it himself.
