Apocalypse Ground Zero: Refusing To Leave Home

I died once. Got stoned to death by a mob because a pretty girl with a heroine halo got jealous of my usefulness. Last thing I heard was her confession...she was the one who opened the gates to let the zombies in and pinned it on me. It was real touching stuff. The next thing I knew, I woke up in silk pajamas with a second chance. Here's the thing about knowing the apocalypse is coming: you prepare. I emptied grocery stores, stole weapons, filled a spatial storage with enough supplies to outlast the end of the world. I also learned my lesson about powers—they drain your life force, and I'm not dying twice for the privilege of throwing vines around. So I stayed home in the mansion I shared with my guardian and his head of security. But I decided to take the last bit of advice I had been given in my previous life: 'Stay home.' Done. I'm not going anywhere and no one is going to be able to move me if I don't want. Unfortunately for me, I stole the wrong thing in this life, and now I have another two men in my house who think that I don't know what I am doing. Four men...a billionaire guardian, his head of security, a weapons dealer, and his quiet enforcer...they all tried to convince me to evacuate. When that didn't work, they tried to leave without me. Funny how that works out when you realize the only stable thing in a collapsing world won't budge. Suddenly, their evacuation plans don't matter anymore. Suddenly, they're staying too. I'm not here to save anyone. I'm not the hero. I'm just a woman who's already survived this once, and I'm not interested in repeating my mistakes. But survival? That's my specialty. And apparently, I'm everyone else's, whether I like it or not. There is a few things that after 140 chapters (and a lot of comments) I need to clarify. The title is: "Refusing to leave home." Please don't expect her to leave her house. The idea of this novel is: "It's okay to just survive." You don't have to be responsible for the human race, you don't have fix what everyone screws up. It's okay to do nothing and keep living. Rouxi comes from a seriously fucked up past life. Her parents were abusive and since she was four years old, she has learned that, in order to survive, you can only rely on yourself. Dying and being reborn just reinforces this belief. This is in a completely different world from my previous ones. This is a fresh start but with all the things you come to expect from me. There will be no crossovers (Gasp... I know!) The particulars: MFMMM No MM Age gap Zombies

The World Ends In 27 Days

Qiao Zhiyi knew a lot of things. Normally, being a woman with high-functioning ADHD wasn’t considered particularly desirable, but someone had forgotten to tell the government that. They wanted her brain. They wanted her ability to take a question, follow every possible consequence from beginning to end, and return with an answer more accurate than anything their departments could produce. At nineteen, she had skipped several grades, nearly completed university, and already provided solutions that had saved countless lives. The government saw a prodigy. They saw a tool they could use. What they didn’t see was everything Zhiyi saw. Namely the fact that the world would end in 27 days, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it. It wasn't the zombie apocalypse, that might have been survivable. No, this one brought heat strong enough to melt roads and turn glass buildings into oven. After a few years when everyone thought that they had mastered the heat, the world revolted yet again, and the floods came. After the floods was the cold... the freezing temperatures. Yes, Zhiyi already knew all that. But what she didn't know was what would happen after the second heat wave came. That was when she and Pei Hanchuan died in her last life. For seven years, they survived together. He gave her somewhere to begin when too many possibilities caused her body to stop responding. Zhiyi saw the dangers he couldn’t and built the plans that kept them alive. Their system worked... right up until it didn't. Now Zhiyi has returned to ten years and twenty-seven days before their deaths. Pei Hanchuan is no longer trapped in a shelter, unable to walk, and his four best friends—the men who died before Zhiyi ever met him—are still alive. Yeah, she never saw that coming either. There is a security heir who considers her physical safety his responsibility. An automotive genius determined to build a vehicle capable of surviving every disaster she can predict. An architect expected to find and reinforce the impossible within twenty-seven days. And a medical genius who initially mistakes unlimited choices for kindness. They have money, companies, weapons, hospitals and safe houses. Zhiyi has the knowledge to keep them all alive. What she doesn’t know is where she belongs among five men who have shared everything since birth—or why each of them has begun rearranging his world to make room for her. That question will require further consideration. The world ends in twenty-seven days. Right now, survival is the only thing that matters. Particulars: No MM No supernatural powers No zombies None of what you actually expect from my novels. And, even though I don't think this needs to be said, I am going to say it anyway... this is a story. In no way, shape, or form should you take this as realistic, informative, or anything other than a way to keep you entertained for as long as you keep reading.
